The HTTP response status code for "Not Found", meaning that
the URL you requested doesn't exist.
This is typically because the web page, or other resource, it
referred to has been deleted. If the URL
came from a link on some other page, then that link is a "broken
link". Or maybe you simply mistyped the URL.
404 is one of the 4xx group of response codes.

administrators of the hosting site as a result of net abuse by the website
operators. The term is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the standard “301
