 water. Above, it is olive brown, barred with black;
 beneath, it is brownish yellow, mottled with darker. The
 upland moccasin is Ancistrodon atrofuscus. They resemble
 rattlesnakes, but are without rattles.

 petal is two inches long, and forms a rose-colored
