Any plant of the liliaceous genus Tulipa. Many varieties
are cultivated for their beautiful, often variegated flowers.

magnolia family (Magnoliaceae) bearing tuliplike
flowers. See Liriodendron.
(b) A West Indian malvaceous tree (Paritium tiliaceum syn.
Hibiscus tiliaceum).
