species, sometimes becoming twelve or fourteen feet in total
length. The tree kangaroos, belonging to the genus
Dendrolagus, live in trees; the rock kangaroos, of the
genus Petrogale, inhabit rocky situations; and the brush
kangaroos, of the genus Halmaturus, inhabit wooded
